Brass Inlaid Rosewood Fold Over Games Table c.1830.

Beautiful early 19th.c. fold over games table c.1830. An elegant console or side table, or turn and open the top to make a useful square table for four with a red baize playing surface for cards etc and a small mahogany lined storage space below. Highly figured rosewood veneered top and apron with crossbanded edges and inlaid brass stringing. Raised on four tapering turned and reeded columns over a shaped plinth and swept legs also rosewood veneered and brass inlaid to match. Original brass feet and castors. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
